It is a red-white-blue vertical tricolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

The flag, as officially granted, should be red-white-blue. However, as the coat of arms is symmetrical, it is not really possible to know which is the colour order actually used.

Shield Argent a baptismal font Gules, in chief two rows of vair nebuly of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
The font is a canting element. The name of the municipality probably reminds on the erection of a baptistery - in the meaning of a church for christening ceremonies - around 700. The fess wavy is symbolizing the Ornaubach creek and is representing the former municipality of Oberornau, which had been incorporated in 1972. The chief's pattern is taken from the arms of the Augustine Au upon Inn Abbey, which had estates, rights and privileges in the area during the Middle Ages.

The banner was approved on 16 June 1987 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern. The arms were approved on 9 June 1981 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern.
