Shield parted per pale into Gules and Argent, a heraldic rose in counterchanged colours.
Meaning:
The rose was chosen as a symbol for the new municipality, as it is symbolising the flourishing community. The colours are those of the lion of Hesse.
The arms were approved on 11 March 1971 and again on 2 July 1975 by Minister of Interior of Hesse.
