It is a red-white-red vertical triband. The coat of arms is in a white bannerhead. Under the shield is an inscription in black initials "DORFPROZELTEN".

Renaissance shield parted per fess, above Gules a 6-spokes wheel Argent, beneath Argent with base wavy Azure a throughout facetted cross Sable.
Meaning:
The black cross displays the arms of the Teutonic Order. The existence of the order in the village is proven since 1260. In 1319/1320 the order acquired Prozelten castle and the village, then also called Niederprozelten or Altprozelten. By exchange the Archbishopric of Mainz acquired the village in 1484. The area was lost in 1803 by secularisation. The current municipal hall had been a hunting lodge of the archbishops. The tinctures red and silver and the wheel are alluding to the achbishopric. The blue base wavy is a representation of the Main River and the importance of shipping and timber rafting.
