Description of coat of arms:
In a blue field is a golden(=yellow) sword pointing downwards and flanked by two silver(=white) fleur de lis. The base is a golden(=yellow) mountain with three tops.
Meaning:
According to source mountain and sword are taken from the arms of former Amt Dielingen-Wehdem. The mountain is symbolizing the Stemweder Berge. The sword is taken from the seal of a judge, dated 1411. The fleur de lis are taken from the arms of former municipality of Levern and are also symbolizing St.Mary, who was the patron saint of a monastery located in Levern.
