Shield parted per pall, above Azure a stag´s head Argent, beneath right Vert a horseshoe Argent in bend, beneath left Argent a linden leaf Vert in bend sinister.
Meaning:
The stag is taken from the arms of the Hirsch (= stag) family, who acquired the estate of Kospoda in 1894. The family contributed much to the development of the village in the early 20th century. The horseshoe is representing the village of Meilitz, where some prehistoric horseshoes have been found, indicating a longtime inhabitation of the area. The linden leaf is symbolising the large linden tree in Burgwitz, the landmark of the village.
