Roden Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Vert an eradicated oak Argent, at sinister Or a minuscule "n" Sable topped by a crosslet patty of the same.
Meaning:
Roden was first mentioned in 1348. The name is referring to forest clearance, represented in the arms by the oak. The clearance was caused by the Dominican Neustadt Nunnery, symbolised by minuscule and crosslet, the cypher of the nunnery, to which the area belonged until 1803.

Ansbach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules an attire Argent and an impending Latin cross Or between the antlers, chief parted per fess of Gules and Or, a minuscule "n" Sable topped by a crosslet of the same.
Meaning:
Attire and cross are the attributes of St. Hubert, patron saint of the local parish church and of huntsmen. Minuscule and crosslet are the symbols of the Dominican Neustadt Nunnery, to which the area belonged until 1803.
