Shield Gules a forester issuant dressed Argent, holding a horn Or by his dexter hand and an axe Argent hafted Or by his sinister hand, base Argent charged with two maces Gules in saltire.
Meaning:
Wildflecken municipality merged with Oberbach Market Town and gained its title in 1978. Wildflecken had been established by forest clearance at the beginning of the 16th century in the Salt Forest (German: Salzforst) by the Foresters of Lebenhan on behalf of the Bishopric of Würzburg. The first settlers had been charburners, huntsmen and foresters. The forester and the axe are alluding to the local history. The base displayed the differentiated arsm of the Lebehan-Rothenkolben kin.
