Shield Azure a miner's hammer and a slater's hammer, both Or in saltire, superimposing a crozier issuant of the same, superimposed by an abased fess wavy Argent.
Meaning:
The tinctures blue and golden and the crozier are alluding to the Cistercian Langheim Abbey, to which the municipality belonged until 1388. The hammers are symbolising the depletion of slate in Thüringen, which had been an important business line until WW2, but it became impossible due to the German division since 1961.
