Shield Argent with base Azure, charged with a sinister facing fish najant, issuant from base a man dressed and capped Gules, holding an arrow Sable in pale in each hand.
Meaning:
Sculptures on the local municipal hall from 1600 displayed, besides numerous shields related to the Teutonic Order, two local shields. The first one displayed a plough share, a local symbol, which also appeared in a seal from 1607. The other one displayed the man with arrows, whose meaning is however unknown. Both elements were connected in seals from the 19th and 20th century. The plough share was placed on base and later replaced by a complete plough. The plough was replaced by the fish, which is alluding to Kocher River, in 1952.

The flag was approved on 17 August 1953 by the provisional government.
