Söllingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Azure a sugar beet Or, at sinister Or a sugar beet Azure (that is the dexter side in counterchanged colours).
Meaning:
Sugar beets are very important for the municipality. They are cultivated and refined in Söllingen. From 1850 til 1957 there existed a sugar refinery and from 1886 til 1953 in another factory sugar beet juice had been produced. The wavy line is symbolising the border between the Duchy of Braunschweig and the Bishopric of Halberstadt in the past. The "Große Bruch", a water reservoir, had been a natural boundary. The colours blue and yellow are symbolising that Söllingen always had been a part of Braunschweig.
The arms were designed by Arnold Rabbow and adopted on 19 July 2001 by the local council.
