Shield parted per fess, above Gules a cross patty Or, beneath lozengy of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
The cross is a canting element and alluding to the local parish church, dedicated to the True Cross.The lozenges are alluding to the Wittelsbach kin, local rulers until 1802. The colours of the upper half are those of the Lords of Strahlenberg, who established the settlement by forest clearance and had been local rulers until 1357, when the village was acquired by the Palatine Counts.
