Shield Argent, in base a bar wavy Azure, above an impending apple Gules leaved twice Vert.
Meaning:
The village was first mentioned in 1286 as "Epphinbach". In the local language it was called "Epflbach", i.e. "apple creek". The current pattern with apple and creek appeared on local seals since the beginning of the 19th century and was considered to be canting. The tinctures were fixed in 1901.

The arms were adopted in 1901. The banner was approved on 11 October 1978 by the county administration, published in GABl 327/1979.
