Shield parted by a pale Or, at dexter bendy sinister of five of Gules and Argent, at sinister Azure a crozier issuant Argent.
Meaning:
Ellzee had been seat of one of the five bailiwicks of the Margraviate of Burgau. The local reeve substituted the margraviate in the North of Bayrisch Schwaben. This is symbolised by the golden pale and the parted shield of the margraviate. The crozier is representing the clerical manorial lords, such as the St. Ulrich´s and St. Afra´s Abbey in Augsburg, the Edelstetten Nunnery, the Wettenhausen Monastery and the Wengen Monastery in Ulm.
