Shield Azure a coronet Or over a burning branch of the same in bend, issuant from base a triplemount Or.
Meaning:
The triplemount is representing the landscape and the three former municipalities of Spatzenhausen proper, Waltersberg and Hofheim. It is furthermore a canting symbol representing Waltersberg. Coronet and burning branch are attributes of St. Afra of Augsburg, the local patron saint. The tinctures blue and golden are those of the Benediktbeuern Abbey, manorial lord until 1803. The flames are depicted red on modern banners.

The arms were approved on 10 December 1979 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern . The banner has never been approved officially.
