Heroldsbach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a lion's head caboshed Or holding a fleur-de-lis of the same by his jaw, at sinister Or a demi-ibex rampant issuant Sable.
Meaning:
Heroldsbach was one of the 14 villages that formed the Bishopric of Bamberg, represented in the arms by the colours black and golden, which was established in 1007 by the German King Heinrich II. The ibex is taken from the family arms of the Lords of Gotsmann, lion's head and fleur-de-lid from the family arms of the Lords of Bünau. Both kins had been vassals of the bishopric.
