Description of coat of arms:
In a silver (= white) shield is a red heart. The shield has a golden (= yellow) chief superimposed by a black attire.
Meaning:
On a stamp the municipality used until 1930 a coat of arms displaying plough share and attire. This pattern was in use since the 1st quarter of the 19th century. As many municipalities used plough shares on their seals, Schlaitdorf decided to replace the iron by a heart in 1896. Its meaning is unknown. Some say that it is symbolizing love and devotion of an Huguenot immigrant clan, others say it is symbolizing love and devotion to Württemberg.

The banner was approved on 16 August 1973 minister of interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 1083/1973. The coat of arms was approved 11 November 1935 by Reichsstatthalter.
