Shield quartered; 1st quarter Gules parted by a chevron Argent filled Sable; 2nd quarter Argent a lion rampant Sable, crowned, armed and tongued Gules,; 3rd quarter Argent parted by a saltire Sable, 4th quarter Gules a cherry blossom Argent barbed Vert.
Meaning:
The 1st quarter displays the family arms of the Barons Haller of Hallerstein, who lived in the village from 1342 until 1850. They had been the only local rulers until 1465. The lion is the heraldic animal of the Burgraves of Nürnberg, who acquired the village in 1298. The saltire in the 3rd field is the attribute of St. Andrew, local patron saint of the village. The church was built in the 15th century and has kept its character completely until today. The blossom is alluding to the cultivation of cherries.
