Shield Gules, parted by a bend wavy Argent, charged with two bendlets wavy Azure, seven fleur-de-lis Or alongside the bend, three in dexter base and four in sinister chief.
Meaning:
Rö öderland was established on 26 October 2003 by a voluntary merger of seven municipalities, which belonged to different territories in the past. Prösen - nowadays the seat of the municipality - with Saathain and Stolzenhain belonged to the Lordship of Saathain, which became after various changes a possession of the Counts of Solm in 1798. Reichenhain, Haida and Würdenhain belonged to the Lordship of Würdenhain, which was dissolved forcibly at the beginning of the 15th century and was then incorporated into the Lordship of Mühlberg. Wainsdorf, located in the Schraden Shire belonged to the Lordship of Frauenhain in nowadays Saxony. Each of the seven municipalities is represented by a fleur-de-lis in the arms. The bendlets wavy are representing the rivers Schwarze Elster and the name giving Große Röder.
