Shield parted per pale of Azure and Argent, over all a fess Or masoned Sable, chief Vert parted by a saltire Argent.
Meaning:
The saltire is the attribute of St. Andrew, the local patron saint. The green colour is referring to the location in the Bavarian Forest. The parted shield with masoned fess is taken from the arms of the Cistercian Gotteszell Monatery, which had been manorial lord of the biggest part of the current municipality. The original tinctures of silver red were changed to silver and blue in order to stress the Wittelsbach kin as another important manorial lord.
