Shield Azure, issuant from base a triplemount Vert, rising behind the mount a radiant sun Or.
Meaning:
The settlement was established by forest clearance in the Northern Black Forest. The seal of the village mayor from the 9th century displayed an initial "D", surrounded by two branches of laurel. Since 1939 the local seals displayed a landscape with mountains, a fir and a sun, which is alluding to the location in the woods. It had been drafted in order to promote tourism. The current pattern was a mere amendation in order to match heraldic rules.
