Tschernitz Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale with annexed fess in chief, quartered of Or and Azure, at dexter Or a demi eagle sable couped per pale with a demi-crescent recumbent Argent upon his breast, at sinister Gules with base rayonny Or, a glass bottle Argent.
Meaning:
The pale with annexed fess is indeed an intial "T", the first letter of the municipality's name. The eagle is a differenciation of the arms of the Principality of Sagan, to which Tschernitz belonged in the past. The sinister half is referring to the fact that Tschernitz has a glass kiln since 1829.

The symbols have not been approved officially, as only the village as a part of the namesake municipality had applied for the symbols in 2006, which is however forbidden by law (§5 of Hoheitszeichenverordnung) in Brandenburg.
