Description of coat of arms:
The green shield is divided by a silver (=white) pale on the dexter part. St the sinister edge are two golden (= yellow) rectangles.
Meaning:
According to source the ensemble shows the initial of the city's name. The pale is symbolizing river Erft. Green is symbolizing forestal riches and golden the fields of wheat in the region.
