Shield Gules, an eagle's claw Or.
Meaning:
Nusplingen had been a city from the 14th until the 18th century and had a proper seal, known by a print from 1515. It was however damaged and the pattern thus was unrecognisable. In 1930 the city gained new arms, parted twice per fess wavy with tinctures black over blue over golden (= yellow), the blue part was representing the little Bära River. The current arms display the family arms of the Lords of Nusplingen.

The current arms were approved on 16 May 1950 by Minister of Interior of Württemberg-Hohenzollern. The banner was approved on 30 August 1967 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in 620/1967.
