Shield Or; an eagle vigilant Sable, armed Or, tongued Gules and standing on the central peak of a triplemount Vert, issuant from base; the eagle holds in his risen dexter claw an inescutcheon Gules with a fess wavy, fimbriated Or.
Meaning:
The arms are combining the Imperial eagle with the Austrian shield. Both charges are referring to Emperor Leopold.

The arms were granted by Emperor Leopold on 9 December 1682. A, probably plain, tricolour, displaying the Austrian colours, had been in use before 1935.
