Shield Azure, a red oak's leaf Or in bend sinister, in dexter chief an acorn of the same.
Meaning:
The arms are canting and referring to the fact that the first settlement was established in the 12th century by forest clearance. The meaning of the name is "place in the oak grove". Furthermore the charges were part of the family arms of the Fleckhaimer kin, later being Lords of Aystetten. Their family arms displayed a squirrel with an acorn and oak leaves. The tinctures are those of the collegiate church of the Holy Cross in Augsburg and of the Stetten family and Fugger family as well. The latter had been local rulers in the past.
