Shield Sable, a bend chequered of Gules and Argent, in dexter base a tripod kettle Or, in sinister chief two balls Or in fess.
Meaning:
The village became a possession of Ellwangen Abbey in the 9th century and of the Cistercian Oberschönenfeld Nunnery in 1262. It remained a possession of the nunnery until 1803, when the nunnery was secularised. These circumstances are symbolised by the Cistercian bend. The kettle is an attribute of St. Vitus, the local patron saint. The balls are a differentiation of the arms of the Lords of Munsterlin, who were several times mentioned in the 13th and 14th century. Their family arms displayed three golden balls.
