Stammham Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Azure a bend raguly Argent, at sinister Argent fretty of Gules over all a fess wavy Azure.
Meaning:
Stammham had been a possession of the Counts of Leonberg since 1180 and was acquired by the Counts of Hals in 1319. Their family arms displayed a white fess in a blue shield. The sinister half displays these arms in counterchanged colours. The lattice, i.e. fretty of Gules, is representing the gridiron of St. Lawrence, the local patron saint. The dexter half is a modification of the arms of the Counts of Ortenberg, whose reeves ruled Stammham in the 14th century. The colours blue and white are those of Bayern and reminding on the fact that Stammham had been a possession of the Wittelsbach kin since 1386.
