Shield parted per bend sinister, above right Argent a moor's head Sable with cap Gules and earring Argent, bneath left Gules a goose's head Argent armed Or holding a crozier Or in bend by its beak.
Meaning:
Crozier and goose are attributes of St. Martin, the local patron saint. The local church is one of the oldest in the Bishopric of Passau and known since the 9th century. The moor's head, actually a negroe's head, is a canting element from the arms of the Moringer kin, who lived in the village since the 8th century. The village also was first mentioned as Moringen in 788. The tinctures are alluding to the Cistercian Raitenhaslach Abbey, a manorial lord until the 18th century.
