Shield bendy of six of Argent and Gules, chief Sable parted by a saltire Argent.
Meaning:
The situation in Schopfloch was a bit special. In 1732 the local community had been the biggest manorial lord, owning 39 farms, the Counts of Oettingen-Spielberg owned 32 farms, the Teutonic Order one farm and the Free Imperial City of Dinkelsbühl four farms.
The bendy shield displays the arms of the Lords of Ellrichshausen, who owned Schopfloch manor from 1890 until 1616. Afterwards the Counts of Oettingen and the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach were the biggest land-owners. The chief combines the saltire from the counts with the tinctures of the margraves.
