Kleinkahl Coat of Arms

Shield parted by a pale wavy parted of Argent and Azure; at dexter Gules a glass Argent; at sinister Or a castle Gules with three embattled turrets, windows Argent and port Sable.
Meaning:
The pale wavy is a representation of the name giving Kahl River. The glass, a so called "Spechter" is representing the local glass industries, which developed since the High Medieval. The red tincture is alluding to the Archbishopric of Mainz, to which the area historically belonged. The castle is taken from the arms of the Ulner of Dieburg kin, who lived here between the 15th and 17th century. It is also representing the other families, who owned estates in the municipaluity, e.g. the Counts of Rieneck and the Counts of Schönborn.
