The community was named after the brook Březnice (the water which flows through the birch-forest)
Description of the Coat of Arms:
On a blue shield on a green mountain with gold-yellow river a silver front of the church with in the center the tower and with red roof. In the tower the gate and five windows (three and two) are voided, all black. In both top corners of the shield is a gold-yellow birch twig with three leaves and two catkins.
