One new Czech city flag: the city of Orlova has flag divided vertically
into three stripes, blue, black, and white (9:2:9). In the blue field,
there is half of a yellow eagle with red beak and legs; in the white field,
there is a red tree. Flag ratio 2:3. (City decree, 2000.)

If you thought you've seen this eagle before, you're correct. It was
taken from Karvina flag because the drawing
was very similar. Many Czech flags do not use the exact image of their
respective coats of arms, but a more stylized image. Image is based on BW drawing,
sent by Aleš Křížan, 22 Dec 2000.

The coat of arms is per pale, sinister per fess (1) Dimidiated Těšin eagle (a
canting element, "Orel" = eagle); (2) eradicated oak gules in argent);
(3) Sable minertools argent.
