To answer your question regarding the Croatian connection to Dobré Pole.
The answer is yes.
Dobré Pole (Cr, Dobro Polje) along with the neighboring villages Hrvatski
Frielištof (called Jevišovka in Czech), and Nova Prerava were the three
remaining Croatian villages in southern Moravia. The Croats who moved there,
fled the Ottoman Turks in the 16th century, and are classified as Burgenland
Croatians (Gradišcanski Hrvati) along with the Croatians that moved to
Austria, Slovakia, and Western Hungary. The Moravian Croatians remained
in their villages until 1948 when the Communists removed them and dispered
them throughout Moravia for collaboration with the Nazis. You can read
