"La Bandera de Roncesvalles es una franja rectangular
tricolor Así: El borde superior izquierdo y en forma triangular
se encuentra el verde de nuestras llanuras y valles; el centro
una franja diagonal blanca que representa la paz de nuestro
municipio y el símbolo de árbol nacional, la palma de cera del
Quindio; borde triangular inferior izquierdo con un fondo rojo
que representa la sangre derramada por nuestros mayores.
La bandera, el himno y el escudo de Roncesvalles, son producto
del ingenio de un grupo de personas encabezada por el entonces
alcalde Antonio Rivas Rodríguez, quien invitó a un concurso
público. La bandera fue diseñada por Aleida Oviedo".
