web site: "Escogida a través de concurso organizado por
el Municipio bajo la dirección del señor Leonidas Benítez. En
el año de 1989, se presentaron varias propuestas, quedando como
ganadora la presentada por el Dr. Álvaro Cruz Buelvas. Con el
seudónimo de: “Teofilo Panclasta”. Está consiste en
tres franjas horizontales de igual dimensión cuyos colores son:
Verde, Blanco y Amarillo. VERDE Y BLANCO: simbolizan esperanza y
pureza de nuestro municipio, además los colores de la bandera
del Departamento de Sucre, a cuya jurisdicción pertenece San
Pedro. AMARILLO: simboliza la riqueza de estas tierras, en las
cuales se da la más variada gama de productos agrícolas e
igualmente significa la riqueza moral y espiritual de los
habitantes de San Pedro. "
