"Un rectángulo color verde breva sobre el cual descansa un
sol amarillo trigo que destella diez haces de rayos y en cuyo
centro lleva el mapa del municipio en color blanco nieve. Adorna
el conjunto una borla con color amarillo.
Significado: La figura central del astro rey con el mapa
representa el municipio dentro del sol de la libertad y el
progreso.
Los diez rayos que destella el sol, indican las diez veredas del
municipio.
El color amarillo simboliza la riqueza, el trigo maduro, la
cebada, la granadilla, la curuba, el durazno y el membrillo.
El color verde, refiere la esperanza, el campo, la labranza.
La borla señala la unión de los habitantes, la fuerza da la fe
la elevación del espíritu."
