"La bandera del municipio de Aguada fue creada por decreto
012 del 26 de diciembre de 1.989, por entonces alcalde popular
señor José Antonio Acuña Murillo.
Simbología:
Franja blanca: Significa la paz y pureza reinante en est a tierra
Franja roja: Representa la nobleza de la población aguadeña.
Franja verde: Significa la esperanza y anhelos de progreso, lo
mismo que lo paradisiaco y vegetativo de la región.
Franja azul: Es el equivalente al origen del nombre de nuestro
pequeño terruño, el cual se fundamente en las aguas que bañan
a la región."
