"La bandera del Municipio de Contratación costa de tres
franjas horizontales, ordenadas de arriba hacia abajo con los
colores Verde, Rojo, Azul. dentro de la franja roja 12 estrellas
doradas de cinco puntas. El largo de la Bandera, corresponde al
doble de su altura. Su simbología corresponde: El color verde en
representación de la exhuberante, variada y originaria
vegetación. El rojo el sacrificio y el dolor que vivieron sus
primeros habitantes, enfermos del Bacilo de Hansem ( Lepra). El
Azul la gran riqueza hidrologica, que nos distingue y las doce
estrellas corresponden a las doce veredas que conforman la
