San Sebastián (officially: San Sebastián de Buenavista) is a
municipality in Magdalena department. It was founded on 20
January 1748 by Fernando de mier y Guerra with the name San
Sebastián de Melchiquejo. It changed its name on 13 Dece,ber
1957 when it became municipality according to decree 687.
The flag of San Sebastián is horizontally divided
green-white-red (inner ratio 2:1:2) and charged with desined sun.
