I have just received from the Government of Cundinamarca a
book that deals with on the shields and flags of this department.
This book is called "Shields, Flags and Hymns of
Cundinamarca", written by Rosalba Salazar Gallo for the
Secretariat of Culture of Cundinamarca. Here is the flag of
Quetame (Oriente Province).

"Tres franjas la conforman.
La primera de color rojo, ocupa el 25% de su área y simboliza la
flor de Sagú.
La segunda de color verde, ocupa el otro 25%, representando las
hojas y tallos del Sagú.
La tercera que ocupa el cincuenta por ciento de su dimensión, es
de color blanco y significa la raíz de Sagú de donde se extrae
el almidón que luego se comercializa.
Cabe destacar que el Sagú es una planta que cultivan y la que se
constituye en base de la economía de sus habitantes."
