Once, while visiting in Girardot city, I have seen the
original colors of the La Calera's flag in an uniform of the
Municipal Band of La Calera. The colors are Orange, Emerald
Green and Dark Gray.

"Los colores de la bandera adoptados por el honorable
Concejo Municipal, significan lo siguiente:
La franja vertical de color naranja significa el trabajo, nobleza
y la bondad de su gente.
Una franja horizontal superior de color verde dado por las
sierras, prado y el valle del Teusacá que significa esperanza.
Una franja horizontal inferior de color gris, dado por el mineral
de cal que explotaron los indígenas, mas tarde los espanoles y
ahora es la base industrial del cemento."
