"De forma rectangular, con dos franjas horizontales y un
triángulo superpuesto cuyos lados de la base y la altura están
perpendiculares al asta y a la base de la bandera.
La franja superior es azul que significa el color del cielo, el
agua que corre por el suelo, la igualdad ciudadana ante Dios y
ante la ley, la inmensa fe y la confianza en la grandeza y
prosperidad del municipio.
La franja inferior es blanca y simboliza el sosegado y sereno
espíritu de los hijos de Gama, la pureza, costumbres y
tradiciones religiosas, los fervientes sentimientos de unidad,
justicia y verdad.
El triángulo es la triple dimensión del lema:
“Catolisismo, unión y Patria”, el color rojo del
triángulo significa amor, fraternidad, solidaridad y sacrificio.
Las estrellas son las veredas que conforman el municipio."
