I have just received from the Government of Cundinamarca a
book that deals with on the shields and flags of this department.
This book is called "Shields, Flags and Hymns of
Cundinamarca", written by Rosalba Salazar Gallo for the
Secretariat of Culture of Cundinamarca. Here is the flag of
Gachalá (Guavio Province).

"Compuesta por dos colores, distribuidos en iguales franjas
horizontales en colores verde y blanco:
El verde simboliza los campos y vegetación, sus cultivos
tradicionales y sus paisajes. Además simboliza la esperanza de
todos los habitantes del municipio, de poder construir una
sociedad próspera, encaminada a lograr el progreso de la
jurisdicción.
El blanco, es símbolo de la paz, anhelada por los gachalunos a
través de toda su historia."
