I have just received from the Government of Cundinamarca a
book that deals with on the shields and flags of this department.
This book is called "Shields, Flags and Hymns of
Cundinamarca", written by Rosalba Salazar Gallo for the
Secretariat of Culture of Cundinamarca. Here is the flag of
Caparrapí.
Caparrapí is at Bajo Magdalena (Lower Magdalena)
Province, Cundinamarca.

"La bandera de Caparrapí consta de tres franjas, en colores
azul, amarillo y verde y significan:
Azul: representa la riqueza hídrica y el cielo que cubre el
territorio.
Amarillo: simboliza la riqueza mineral que encierra la tierra de
la región y la riqueza espiritual de su gente.
Verde: la fertilidad y verdor de su campo, lo mismo que la
esperanza de un mejor mañana.
El autor de la bandera es el señor Jairo Castañeda R."
