"La composición de la bandera se hizo en homenaje al
escultor Carlos Rojas G, hijo del municipio, reconocido
internacionalmente por sus obras. Está compuesta por franjas
horizontales en tres colores así:
Verde: representa un 50 por ciento del total de la bandera,
simbolizando el tapete natural del paisaje de Albán, su
vocación agrícola y sus bosques de niebla.
Blanco: en un 35 por ciento del total de sus franjas, simboliza
la hospitalidad, tolerancia y la paz de un pueblo que cada día
quiere ser mejor. La neblina constante y las fuentes de agua.
Amarillo: un 15 por ciento del pabellón, color cálido simboliza
la alegría y espontaneidad de su gente, la riqueza natural, su
desarrollo y en términos generales su economía."

I am not sure how reliable is this image. The
description says green 50%, white 35% and yellow 15%. The
image shows, however, something like 36%, 36%, 28%, or
40%, 30%, 30% respectively.
