While the site of the Florencia mayor's office shows a plain triband green-white-red (three equal strips), at several positions, <www.micaqueta.com> says: "Por decreto No 045 del 14 de Mayo de 1964, se abrió el concurso para la creación de las insignias del municipio. Compuesta por tres franjas horizontales: verde, blanco y rojo. El verde ocupa la mitad de la bandera y representa la riqueza forestal típica del Caquetá y la esperanza de un futuro lleno de triunfos para nuestro territorio. El blanco ocupa un cuarto de la bandera, es símbolo de claridad matutina, promesa del sol y calor y emblema de paz con que Dios ha bendecido nuestra comarca. El rojo ocupa el otro cuarto de la bandera, muestra el espiritu luchador y ardiente del habitante caqueteño."
This Indicating a 2:1:1 proportion (see reported flag). This seems a very common pattern in municipal flags from Caqueta.
