I must stress that this source is a poor indicator of the
actual proportions of the municipal flags. Some flags are just
annexed to the Coat of Arms in a square proportion. Two of these
flags were presented previously in a 1:2 proportion. Many
of these flags could be such. I think it will be wise to
place a note that indicates that the true proportions of these
flags could be 1:2 also.

"La Bandera -Está compuesta por dos franjas horizontales de
igual tamaño. Estas dos franjas unidas van prendidas en un asta
que remata en un símbolo de la realeza indígena. El cantón
izquierdo o sea el contrario al asta, va cortado por un
triángulo isósceles cuya base ocupa la totalidad de dicho
cantón, el cual se prolonga hacia el centro del emblema hasta
llegar a la tercera parte del mismo.
La parte superior amarilla simboliza la riqueza de nuestro suelo.
La parte inferior verde, representa la fertilidad de la comarca.
El cantón en triángulo rojo, representa la madurez del café
que es nuestra principal cosecha de exportación y fuente de
divisas."
