"La Bandera -Consta de tres fajas horizontales de igual
anchura en los colores blanco, verde y rojo.
El color blanco significa las flores del cafeto. El color verde
representa el follaje de los cafetales, y el color rojo, el color
de los granos maduros.
Manizales es la tierra del café. En los pliegues soberanos de su
bandera, se presiente el perfume de los blancos azahares, se
escucha la canción del viento que pasa por entre el verde de su
follaje y se extasían los sentidos con el rojo carmesí de sus
granos maduros."
