Santa Lucía is a municipality in Department of Atlantico, Colombia. It was founded on 22 March 1874.
The flag of Santa Lucía is horizontal green-blue-red with white triangle on the hoist. However, the image at the municipal web site show also a yellow border which could be border or fringe or unrelated background.
Information in Spanish: "La Bandera del Municipio fué escogida tambien mediante concurso abierto en la fecha de Junio 6 al 12 de Agosto del 2.000, amparado juridicamente por el Acuerdo No 06 y el Acta de eleccion de simbolos patrios, avalados por Concejo municipal y la Alcaldia Municipal.
El postulante de la bandera escogida en aquel entonces por el concejo municipal fue la propuesta por el Profesor : APOLINAR POLO RIVERA."

"The municipal flag was selected in a contest that took place from 6 June to 12 August 2000 and officially approved by Decree No. 06 and the "Act of Election of the Municipal Symbols", passed by the Municipal Council and the Municipal Administration [respectively?]. The elected flag proposal was designed by Pr. Apolinar Polo Rivera."
The municipal coat of arms was selected and approved by the same process.
