Sabanalarga (Spanish for Large Plains) is a municipality in
the Atlantico Department, Colombia. Founded in in 1620 by Lucas
Dionisio Tesillo y Diego and Marceliano de Jesús Almanza.
Founded on 16 November 1619 and became a municipality in 1680.
The flag of Sabanalarga is horizontal with the upper stripe
divided equally in white and green and the bottom stripe is
yellow.
